About Me

Iโ€™ve always struggled to write about myselfโ€”how exactly should I introduce who I am?

Lean into a literary style, and it feels pretentious. Rattle off a plain chronological list, and itโ€™s tedious. So Iโ€™ll just write whatever comes to mind, casually.

Zhu Zi Shi Bu Qiu Cao (Bamboo is an evergreen grass). Someone once asked me why I chose this name. I was lost for words then, my mind whirring with thoughts for a while, and all I could reply was: No particular reason, I just think it sounds nice.

Iโ€™m a QA engineerโ€”aka a “test ape” in the tech circle. I keep this blog first to document the technical knowledge Iโ€™ve gained in my work, and second to jot down things that spark my interest.

Thereโ€™s also a more heartfelt reason behind it. I think time is like a flowing stream, trickling on endlessly. Life is but a small cycle in this currentโ€”how long can this little flow last? When the stream of life dries up, we take nothing with us. So I want to leave more behind, if only some faint traces for others to see.

I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, reading books, and hiking.
